The Aunt-Bassadors share their picks:
I bought a meal planning journal. It helps me have a plan of attack every week at the grocery store, eat better, and save money.
I am loving “The Crown” on Netflix! It is SO GOOD!! (This Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) from the 1940s to modern times.)
I’m loving spin classes, high-end skin care products, and being at home in my new house.
This is going to sound odd, but I have a newfound appreciation for my middle fingers. It took me a long time, but I finally learned that part of being a feminist is realizing that you don’t have to take shit from people who don’t like the person you are and try to put you in a box so that they can remain comfortable. I’m done with that and if anyone (and I mean anyone—including my family and my fiancé’s family) gets shitty with me I’m introducing them to my middle fingers. If there’s one thing the political climate has done for me, it’s erased any sympathy I even thought about having for anyone who’s ignorant and hateful. I used to be nice, try to educate them. Nah. I’m punch-a-Nazi-in-the-face mad and I have lost all fucks to give.
So basically I’m excited about my middle fingers and wished more women employed them. We don’t have to spend emotional labor and time on people who don’t appreciate us. And I’m not doing it anymore.
I’ve been loving Orange Theory classes for my workouts
A friend recommended a prayer app and, while that sounds odd, it is really nice. It offers topical prayer and scripture every day. Spending time thinking about something other than what I want God to do for me is a nice way to start the day. Oh, and I got a flanera from my sister and I am a flan making machine!
We showed you ours, now show us yours. What are you loving right now?
